01 / About

About

Background across hardware validation, firmware development, and embedded Linux.

Background

I started at Intel Corporation, performing root-cause failure analysis on server and GPU hardware returns and isolating faults down to the die or interconnect level.

At Collins Aerospace, I designed and ran test procedures for real-time signal and image processing systems, and characterized RF/FPGA radar performance through lab, field, and flight testing.

Current focus

I am currently an Embedded Systems Engineer at Langmuir Systems, where I design PCBs and wiring harnesses, develop firmware for CNC controllers, and work with mechanical and software teams to integrate electrical systems into CNC machinery.

I also do freelance firmware work, including bare-metal and RTOS development and custom embedded Linux BSPs. I hold a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.

Freelance

Firmware Engineer · Remote JAN 2026 - PRESENT
  • Developed bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware for embedded systems on ARM Cortex-M targets.
  • Built a custom embedded Linux BSP for an ARM SoC using Buildroot, including device tree overlays, U-Boot configuration, out-of-tree kernel drivers for SPI/I2C peripherals, and custom package recipes for production image deployment.

Collins Aerospace

System Engineering Intern · Wilsonville, OR JUN 2025 - DEC 2025
  • Hardware Testing: Designed and executed test procedures for real-time signal and image processing systems, applying electromagnetics and RF hardware principles to validate performance against aerospace/defense requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Developed data collection, analysis, and visualization techniques to characterize RF/FPGA embedded system performance, translating raw test data into actionable recommendations for design iteration.
  • Systems Engineering: Evaluated proposed hardware and software modifications to RF radar systems through lab, field, and flight testing, informing engineering decisions on system-level improvements for infrared “see-through” imaging in low-visibility flight conditions.

Intel Corporation

Electrical Engineering Intern · Hillsboro, OR APR 2024 - SEP 2024
  • Failure Analysis: Conducted root-cause failure analysis on server and GPU hardware returns, using systematic fault isolation techniques to identify defect mechanisms and distinguish design flaws from manufacturing or field-use failures.
  • Hardware Testing: Performed electrical and physical diagnostics (continuity, curve tracing, decapsulation, microscopy) on failed components to localize faults down to the die or interconnect level, supporting corrective action decisions.
  • Data Analysis: Documented and tracked failure trends across FA case data, correlating recurring failure signatures to inform yield improvement and product reliability efforts.

Oregon State University
